A person, such as a permanent resident of Canada, a refugee, or a foreign national with a permanent resident visa who has been order removed from Canada, may appeal to the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).
Reasons for a person MAY NOT appeal if he or she has been found to be inadmissible to Canada:
a serious criminal offence punished in Canada by a term of imprisonment of at least six months;
