FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER PROGRAM

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year (1,560 hours total/ 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time skilled work experience (NOC 0/A/B);
  • Paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count);
  • In the same job;
  • Within the last 10 years;
  • Proof of funds unless has qualifying job offer; and
  • CANNOT intend to live in Quebec and must be ADMISSIBLE to Canada.
Time Requirements:

Full time = 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
Part time = 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Education Requirements:

Must have:
  • a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree;
OR
  • a completed foreign credential, and
  • an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by CIC
Language Requirements:

Must meet the minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 7 in French for your first official language in all four language abilities.

  • Adaptability


If minimum requirements are met, then the current pass mark is 67 of 100.
